Additional info/contents	Ross Roy is the name of a monumental villa in Brisbane, Australia, where St. Peter Lutheran College was founded in 1945. Jacob de Haan composed this concert work, which is full of metaphors, on behalf of this school orchestra. We hear the structure and discipline of this school in the rhythmic movement of the bass register and the percussion, coupled with repeated notes. The martial theme that follows is a symbol of the progression through the classes until the end of school. A playful, humorous version of the main theme is a must, because at school there must also be time for little jokes and laughter! The characteristic final theme leads to a festive climax.
